Privacy Policy

BinBros ("BinBros," "we," "us," or "our") provides software that helps home-service operators run routes, message customers, and collect payments. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use binbros.app and our related services (the "Service"), how we use that information, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to two groups of people:

  • Operators — the businesses and their team members who sign in to BinBros to manage routes, customers, and billing.
  • End customers — the homeowners and clients of an operator whose contact details, service history, and messages flow through BinBros on the operator's behalf.

For end customers, the operator is the data controller and BinBros acts as a processor. If you're an end customer with a question about your data, reach out to the operator you do business with first; we'll support their response.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the Service:

  • Account information. Name, email, phone, business name, and role when an operator signs up or invites a teammate.
  • Customer and route data. Customer names, service addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, service history, notes, photos, and route details that operators add to BinBros.
  • Messaging data. The content and metadata of SMS and email messages sent or received through the Service, including delivery and read receipts where available.
  • Payment and billing data. When operators or their customers pay through BinBros, our payment processor (Stripe) handles card details directly; we store transaction IDs, amounts, statuses, and the last four digits of the card.
  • Location data. Service addresses, GPS coordinates for stops, and — for operator mobile apps — device location while a route is in progress, used for routing and arrival-time estimates.
  • Device and usage data. IP address, browser or device type, operating system, pages viewed, and basic analytics events used to operate and improve the Service.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. Session cookies to keep operators signed in and a small number of first-party analytics cookies. We do not sell cookie data to advertisers.

How we use information

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • Build and optimize routes, send customer reminders, take payments, and generate reports for the operator.
  • Authenticate users, prevent fraud, and protect the security of accounts.
  • Communicate with operators about the Service, including product updates, security notices, and support replies.
  • Improve the product — diagnose bugs, measure feature usage in aggregate, and prioritize what to build next.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use end-customer data to train third-party advertising models.

How we share information

We share information only in these limited situations:

  • With the operator. End-customer data is shared with the operator who entered it. Teammates within an operator account may see customer and route data based on their role.
  • Service providers. Vendors who help us run BinBros — hosting (AWS), payments (Stripe), SMS/email delivery, mapping and routing providers, error monitoring, and analytics — under contracts that limit their use of the data.
  • Legal and safety. When required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of BinBros, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers. If BinBros is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may transfer as part of that transaction. We'll notify operators before their data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

SMS and messaging

End customers receive SMS or email from operators through BinBros because the operator has a business relationship with them. Reply STOP to any SMS to opt out of further messages from that operator, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Data retention

We keep account and customer data for as long as an operator's account is active. When an account is closed, we delete or anonymize personal data within 90 days, except where we're required to retain it for tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or other legal purposes. Operators can export their data at any time from within the Service.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards: encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for databases and backups, scoped access controls, and audit logging on production systems. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours close to it.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain uses. Operators can exercise these rights directly through the product or by emailing privacy@binbros.app. End customers should contact the operator they do business with; we'll help that operator respond.

California, Colorado, Virginia, and similar state-law residents have additional rights, including the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. BinBros does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under those laws.

Children

BinBros is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

International users

BinBros is operated from the United States. If you use the Service from outside the US, your information will be processed in the US, which may have different data-protection rules than your country.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date above. If the change is significant, we'll also notify operators by email or in-product.
